Creating an Advert PART I - trying Pixlr E
In today's session we were learning the basics of the digital photo editing software called Pixlr E.
Because I have some experience with these kinds of programmes and I had the general idea about how my advert should look like (more about that I will write in next posts).
I wanted to create an ad of a brand of cigarettes.
1. I started with a base image of a man from a profile, which I downloaded form unsplash.com.
2. Then I added a quickly made logo of my imaginary cigarets brand - 'NEON SMOKE', using text .
3. After that I added the most important piece of cigarette adverts - a cigarette. I roughly painted out the base of a smoke, so it looked like it was actually in model's mouth, using eraser.
4. Another layer was for the signature smoke, which I wanted to look like a stroke of neon light. I made this brief sketch of a smoke in the editor using draw tool.
5. The last thing I added was the tag line - 'Let the taste delight you'. It is a work in progress, but I wanted the slogan to reflect the branding, that is why I used the word delight, since the brand's name is Neon smoke, and I wanted to emphasise the taste of this cigarette. I changed the opacity to 70%, and centred it so it would cover the entire poster.

You are very behind here on your work you have just four posts over two weeks and you need to catch up and add to last weeks work and this weeks - good that you have commentary here but you needed screenshots from pixlr with technical commentary explaining the digital tools you have used to create this as I explained in class and when I went through the assessment criteria - please ensure that you add this
