Creating a Website in WIX PART VI - portrait photography for 'about me' page

During today's class we have shot some portrait photographs for our website.

I ended up with 24 photographs.
Below you can view a contact sheet with all of them. Photos were shot in RAW.
To make the photographs look more professional I hanged a piece of black paper behind me, which created a monochromatic background.

Contact sheet:

And below you can see the photographs that I have chosen as the adequate ones.

Panasonic G7 35mm F1.7 SS160 ISO800

Panasonic G7 35mm F1.7 SS100 ISO800

I am not entirely happy with either of them, so I think that I will repeat this session in due time.

Comments

  1. As a photographer I would have expected that you added your setting that you used here and you had more reflection on this - yes they may not be the best images and you would need to repeat, the idea was right with the black background but you could have considered your pose and the composition and light and discussed these even if you could not execute them at the time!

  2. The background is a great idea, I like how you experiment with different exposure here.
Why are you not entirely happy with either of them? Perhaps it would be good to include the reason.
