Major Project - Final artworks and reflections
Below you can view all of the final artworks in its full glory. I have also added my reflections about all of this work at the end of the post.
THE ESSAY
THE CUT
THE GROCERIES
I am very proud of these images. I have spent a lot of time on planning, shooting and finally editing them. I had a lot of obstacles to overcome during this process, but I really think that the final images were worth the effort.
The first photo is definitely my favourite. I really like the negative space in this image and the compositing in this photo is the most seamless out all of them. I think that it actually is one of my favourite edits by far, that I have ever made.
On the other hand, I like the last photo least. The compositing in this photo is not great, I really had a hard time with correct shadow placement and with the colours of it in general. It still looks pretty good in my opinion, but definitely not my favourite.
As for the rest of the images, I think that they are pleasant as well. I enjoy the overall esthetic of the photo with the eggs, and I appreciate the composition in 'The cut' photo. The shallow focus in 'The sculpture' adds a lot of depth to the image, and the pose I chose for 'the laundry' photo really gives off the feeling of being literally overwhelmed. However, what I do not like about that photo, and I am not proud of that at all is the orientation of it. Every other photo is in landscape and only this one is in portrait orientation, which breaks a bit the composition of this photo collection. Also, the compositing in 'The cut' is not perfect around the hands. But other than that, the photos went the way they were supposed to go.
Again, I am proud of them and I actually really like them. I think that they are representing what they were supposed to represent and the editing is actually on a pretty high level on all of the photos, I also feel like the colours from Fincher's colour palette are working really good in these edits, and photos have this Fincheresque feel to them.

Excellent work - and good reflection - you set out to do something and you really made these work - you have completed a great project - I personally like the one of your sitting on the camera best !
