Creating a Website in WIX PART VII - Getting Feedback about my Website

 This week I created a questionnaire about my website and got a feedback about it from ten people. 

The results have to be taken with a little grain of sugar, since they were submitted by my peers.

Below you can view an analysis of the results.



1. What do you think about one page design of this site?


Nine out of ten people replied that they like the ope page design of my website, and one person replied that they do not mind. 
With this results I think that I will leave the one page design as it is.


2. How do you find the task bar?

Again, nine out of ten people replied that they like how the taskbar and how it works, however one person replied, that they would prefer a different layout.
I agree that the taskbar now is slightly overwhelming with its size, therefore I will probably change it.


3. What do you think about portfolio section?


Here seven out of ten people replied that they like the portfolio page and that it was easy to view. Two people replied that they did not mind it, however one person replied that they did not like it at all.
I think that I will focus here on people that were less content with this part of the site and I will change it.


4. Do you like the contact page? Does it cover all of the important information?

Again, seven out of ten people replied, that they like the contact page, and that it cover all of the important information, two people replied that they do not have an opinion. One person replied that they did not like the contact page at all, however I did not receive any details in the following question regarding this answer, therefore I do not know what exactly to do with this information. I think that I will leave information in the contact page as it is, but change the layout of it a bit.


5. If you marked the third or fourth option, please leave a suggestion, what could be improved with this form.

Here I have received two comments which were very helpful. I agree that my portfolio page is quite random, I will definitely change it. The font in the About me page is also hard to read, so I will change it as well. I will also think about changing the taskbar's background to a solid colour.

 

6. Do you like the placement and usability of social media links?

Here once again seven out of ten people replied that they like the placement and usability of my social media links, however three people had either trouble with finding or did not find at all the social media links, therefore I will definitely change the placement and visibility of it.


7. How do you find a mobile look of the website?


In here you can see, that six out of ten people did not test the site of the mobile and four people found a mobile version of the website as a great one. These results are very interesting, since as you will see in the future question, only one person was viewing my website on a mobile phone.
Because of these inconsistencies I will ignore this question.


8. If you have any other suggestions on how this website could be improved, please write it below.

In this question I have received two helpful comments, and one not exactly helpful, however a very nice one.
I will definitely try to make my website feel less cluttered, and  more clean and pleasant to look at. Also, as I stated previously I will make social media links more visible.


9. On what device have you tested this site?

As I mentioned in the question about the look of the mobile version, every person used a desktop to view my website, additionally one person saw my website on their mobile as well.


I will definitely improve my website based on this feedback. Looking at the suggestions about uncluttering it I consider even starting from the beginning, since it might be the fault of the theme I chose in the beginning.

Sequential Photography - research, study, and final artwork

You could say that the origin of sequential photography, as important by itself, is also the origin of cinema. Not the Lumière brothers, but Eadweard Muybridge can be recognized as a pioneer of film. Edweard Muybridge was an English photographer. His fame started when in 1868 Eadweard photographed Yosemite Valley in California, but today he is famous for initiating a new photography trend which is our today's topic. Sequential Photography 1 Sequential imagery is a photographic technique of taking many following pictures in a short period of time. It can be used for a variety of reasons, ranging from showing movement of someone or something to telling a compelling story. An actual origin story of the pictures above is interesting in itself. Major Project TERM III - Production and Post-production PART I

As of now I completed three days of shooting, and shot around 30%-35% of the needed footage. It takes more time than I anticipated but I think I will finish everything on time. I cannot really shoot outside during the weekend since there is a lot of people on the streets at night during these days, so I have to go out during the weekdays. It slows the production a bit since now I have most of the interior shots done, so the only things I need to shoot are outside. I also understood quickly that making everything by myself is far more difficult and complicated than I anticipated. There are some shots which I imagined in my mind that are not looking as good when I shoot it. Nevertheless, focusing on the positive I have finished shooting and editing first page of the script.
