Experimentation in class - Multiple Exposure

This week during session we were supposed to try something new and experiment. I decided to spend this time on trying to capture one of my Major Project images. As for now I was not exactly certain how I will show emotions in my project, I decided that light painting will not be suitable with its atmosphere to this project, therefore I decided to try to show multiple emotions with my face using many exposures.

During this process I used black piece of paper in order to capture only a part of my face in one shot.

Below you can see the contact sheet.

For all of the images I used my panasonic G7, since it has a multiple exposure feature build into the software, with a lens 25mm F5.3, SS1/80, ISO 1600.

While some of the pictures captured were looking quite goofy, some of them were somewhat close to what I wanted to create. Below you can see an image which I chose.

It is far from perfect, but it is an ok start. I decided to fix it slightly in photoshop, by correcting the placement of the parts of my face to right positions and balancing the brightness of the pictures.
This is the image I created.

As for the test shot I think that it looks very decent and I am happy to create the final piece based on it. This experimentation was definitely helpful since I never did a multiple exposure photography before. It was a really good quick practise.
