Major Project TERM II - Post-production

Below you can view my editing process of all of the photos I took for the major project assignment. I edited them in Adobe Photoshop for iPad and for Mac and colour corrected in Adobe Lightroom.

My editing process can be viewed, with my commentary of what I am doing step by step, in the videos attached below.

THOUGHTS

Raw photo:

While this photo was difficult to shoot, it was quite easy to edit. Only thing I did in terms of editing was colour grade it.

The final outcome will be posted in the separate post.

EMOTIONS

Raw photos:
Because I was pleased with how the photographs come out straight from the camera, with this beautiful side key light, editing process was also straightforward.

DREAMS

Raw photo:

This was a bit more difficult to edit, but thanks to the practical lighting I did not have to add any fake lights in the post. During editing this photograph I changed the conception a bit. I couldn't find the good beam of light photo on the stock image websites that would fit the photograph therefore I decided to experiment a little and do something different. I think it worked better than the original idea.

AGEING

Raw photo:

This process was also straightforward, mainly thanks to how well the neural filters worked out.

DEATH

Raw photo:

Similarly to the thoughts, I did not have to do anything drastic with this photograph. I only colour graded it in Lightroom.

MEMORIES

Raw photo:

Definitely the hardest photo to edit. I got lost in the amount of layers a few times, but I think that the final artwork ended up pretty good.

The final images with my reflections about them will be published in the separate post.
