Major Project TERM III - early look into out inspirations
This term I will be researching different filmmakers in order to develop my own visual style for this project. I will also look into some painters that are creating night scenes.
As for the main inspiration in terms of general look of the film I will American photographer, Gregory Crewdson, who creates very detailed and technically astonishing scenes with use of film size crews.
I will also look into ways of portraying dreams in film, by researching pictures like Christopher Nolan's 'Inception', Satoshi Kon's 'Paprika', Ingmar Bergman's 'Wild Strawberries' and more. It will help me craft my own dream sequence in my film.

Finally I will look into work of Edward Hopper in order to look into ways of creating isolated feeling worlds. I will focus mainly on his probably most famous piece 'Nighthawks' since it takes place at night.
For now, these are the artists I know I will be looking into. With time I might change this list slightly and eventually add more artists to it.

A well-considered collection of inspirations here. You might want to check out Alfred Hitcock's, Spellbound as well. The dream sequence designed by Salvador Dali.
